The Crete-Monee Education Foundation hosted its first annual 5K Fund Run on Saturday, September 16, 2023. Participants gathered at Crete-Monee Middle School with opening remarks given by CM 201-U Superintendent, Dr. Kara Coglianese, Board President, Maurice Brown, University Park Mayor, Joseph Roudez III, and Foundation Organizer, Rev. James Hunt. The race began at 9 a.m. and participants enjoyed a nice run or walk throughout the nearby neighborhoods. There was a great turnout from administration, teachers, and students to various members within the local community. All the funds received at this event go towards benefiting the teachers and students academically at Crete-Monee School District 201-U.
