Crete-Monee School District 201-U held its fourth and final Strategic Planning Workgroup meeting on Wednesday, May 15.
Under the guidance of Donovan Group Partner Dr. Lori Mueller, the session addressed crucial components of the district's future direction. Participants engaged in an activity aimed at identifying and defining the district's core values. Additionally, discussions revolved around clarifying the district's mission and vision statements, outlining strategic priorities, and establishing concrete goals.
"The collective effort and dedication displayed by our strategic planning workgroup emphasize our shared commitment to advancing excellence within our school district,” said Dr. Kara Coglianese, Superintendent. “These meetings have been instrumental in charting a path toward sustainable growth and ensuring the comprehensive success of every student within our community. We look forward to reviewing our work as we develop the next strategic plan for Crete-Monee schools."
Comprising an inclusive group of parents, teachers and staff, administrators, and community members, the strategic planning workgroup has played an important role in outlining a path to sustainability and growth for the district in the years to come. Throughout the series of meetings, members analyzed critical factors including student performance and growth, educator quality, community engagement, and facilities and operations.
Looking ahead, the next phase of the strategic planning process will involve presenting the group's recommendations to the Board of Education for approval. Continuous monitoring and evaluation will be prioritized, with plans to finalize and implement the district's next strategic plan by September 2024.
