What’s Happening at the ‘U’ this Summer?
ACADEMICS
SUMMER SCHOOL
CMMS has roughly 106 students enrolled. Students participate in band, STEM, reading, and math classes.
Elementary summer school is hosted at Monee Elementary with roughly 240 students enrolled.
Summer School is in session from June 20th – July 27th
(Monday – Thursday)
July 4th Week - No Summer School except for select high school courses
ATHLETICS
CRETE-MONEE MIDDLE SCHOOL
NEW ACTIVITES for the upcoming 2023/24 school year include
Softball, Baseball, Soccer (Boys & Girls teams), Wrestling, and Cheerleading.
All student athletes will need a valid sports physical to participate. Be sure to get your physical completed!

Crete-Monee High School Addition
Future home of programs such as participation in the classroom community model, individualized academic programming (IAP), social and emotional support, vocational training, transitioning back to home school, student transition educational placement services, students with an individualized education plan (IEP), credit recovery, and crisis intervention behavior stabilization (CIBS) as well as the manufacturing programs. This is projected to be completed on October 15, 2023.
Updates include:
- Cold formed steel framing at the manufacturing lab for ACM panels
- Wood blocking installation
- Welding booths and partition walls have been installed
- Roof deck installation is complete and the roofing system installation has begun
- Air barrier membrane installation is in progress for window framing and roof edge
- Electrical, plumbing, piping, and storm water piping is on-going
- Concrete masonry unit installation has begun on interior walls
- Openings for ductwork have been installed
