- A select area of Beecher that attends CM 201-U will use Crete or University Park seats (the student's address determines which town).
- A select area of Richton Park that attends CM 201-U will utilize seats from Park Forest.

- Each classroom is limited to 25 students. There are 2 classrooms per grade level.
- Applications for preschool-aged students are not accepted.
- The school has a Family Admissions Policy for kindergarten. Kindergarten-eligible siblings will be accepted into the school if an older sibling is currently attending the school when the younger sibling becomes eligible to register for kindergarten. A parent/guardian must register the student during Early Kindergarten Registration.
- Kindergarten students who do not qualify for Family Admissions may participate in the Kindergarten Lottery. To be eligible for the Kindergarten Lottery, the parent/guardian must register the student during the Early Kindergarten Registration period.
- Students who do not enter through Family Admissions for kindergarten or the Kindergarten Lottery will be placed on a waiting list.
- We enroll students all year long. As grade-level and community seats become available, we notify families on the waitlist and offer them a seat. However, we cannot guarantee when a student will be offered a spot, as it varies depending on whether and when a student transfers to a different school district or chooses to return to their home school.
- Families with students enrolled at Coretta Scott King must register their child(ren) during the registration period or 10 days before the first student attendance day of the school year(whichever is later) or forfeit their spot(s) to a student(s) on the waiting list.
- Students maintain their original town spot (location) where they entered Coretta Scott King, even if they move to another town within the district. (Example - A student lived in University Park when admitted to Kindergarten, but moved to Crete in 2nd grade. The student still holds their original University Park spot.)
