Naval Commander calls CMHS Cadets “best I’ve ever seen” at recent Area Management Inspection (AMI)

On February 22, 2022, the Annual Manager Inspection (AMI) was conducted at Crete-Monee High School. The AMI is a yearly inspection for Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) and serves as a type of report card for high school units. The inspection began with a personnel inspection and basic drill movements. Each cadet was inspected by the Area Three Manager and asked a minimum of two questions related to General Orders and Chain of Command. After the personnel inspection, CMHS cadets conducted a briefing over lunch with Area Three Manager Commander Matthew Jordan. The inspection ended with a Pass in Review, which consisted of the cadets marching in platoons and showing respect to the Area Manager, an Awards Ceremony, and a performance from the CMHS NJROTC's Exhibition Drill Team. The day concluded with high praise for the CMHS NJROTC. "I have seen many inspections but this is the best I've seen,” he remarked. Congratulations to Petty Officer Vernon Reed and the CMHS cadets for their hard work and outstanding performance!
