CMMS StaffCrete-Monee School District is proud to celebrate with the entire staff of Crete-Monee Middle School on their recent official authorization as an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. The school’s designation makes it the only authorized IB Middle Years Program in the south suburbs. International Baccalaureate is highly regarded throughout the U.S. and the world for its academic rigor and success at helping students become inquiry-based learners.

The entire middle school staff was treated to a delicious lunch catered by Mae’s Que House. CM 201-U Board President Nelson Albrecht thanked the staff for their hard work and perseverance during the school’s four years of seeking authorization. "’Success is no accident’,” he said, quoting soccer star Pele. "’It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.’"

Superintendent Coglianese also expressed her appreciation for the hard work of the staff, IB Coordinator Christina Flores, and Principal Kokona Chrisos. “The rigor involved in being an IB World School gives our students a competitive advantage in this progressively global economy. The IB Program builds on CM 201-U’s Future Ready vision to set the standard for excellence by motivating students to be inquiring and knowledgeable world citizens,” said Dr. Coglianese.
