Do you have a child who attends ELC?

Families with student(s) who currently attend the Early Learning Center (ELC) must register their student(s) for kindergarten using their Family Access Account.

Kindergarten Registration Requirements:

• Child must be 5 years old on or before September 1 (School Code 105 ILCS 5/10-20.12)

• To complete registration, the following must be provided:
  • Parent/Guardian State ID
  • Original birth certificate
  • Immunization record/Physical preferred
    Required by the first day of school (See Health Requirements)

Coretta Scott King Magnet School

Families interested in kindergarten admission into CSK Magnet for the 2026-2027 school year will need to complete the New Student Registration forms online. Once completed, you will need to complete and return the 2026-2027 Kindergarten Lottery Application to the Office of Teaching and Learning. Submission deadline(s) and return instructions are available on the application. To be considered in the Kindergarten Lottery, Kindergarten Registration and the Lottery Application must be completed in full and returned by the application submission date. The Kindergarten Lottery will take place on June 12th. Families will be notified the week of June 19, 2026. If you are unable to complete Kindergarten Registration and the Lottery Application by the submission deadline, you can complete the Kindergarten Waitlist Application (Español) and be added to the Coretta Scott King Magnet School Waitlist once the Kindergarten Lottery has taken place. Once an application is submitted to the Office of Teaching and Learning, you will receive a confirmation of receipt email at the email address provided on the application.
