Will County Regional Office of Education Hosts Back-to-School Backpack Event at District

The Will County Regional Office of Education hosted a successful Back-to-School Backpack Event on Friday, July 31, on our campus at the Crete-Monee High School parking lot. This walk-up event provided 600 students with clear backpacks filled with essential school supplies, helping them start the school year prepared and confident.
The event brought together a strong network of community partners, including State Representative Anthony DeLuca’s office, the Will County Center for Community Concerns, the Will County Health Department, the Community Health Center, and many others. The Will County Sheriff’s Police SWAT team also participated, offering tours inside the SWAT truck, which were a highlight for many children in attendance.
We extend our sincere thanks to all of the volunteers, staff, and partnering organizations who made this event possible. Your support and dedication helped create a meaningful and memorable experience for our students and families as they prepare for the new school year.
