Remote Learning to continue through November 2020

Community Spread Risk UpdateDear CM 201-U Families,

Last night, at a Special Meeting of the Board of Education, I shared the safety guidelines required for moving to the Hybrid Model phase of the District’s Reopening Plan. These metrics (or benchmarks) are used to help us determine whether or not the risk of spread is Minimal, Moderate, or Substantial for a safe return to in-person instruction.

Based on the current information available, the District will remain in Remote Learning through November 9, 2020, when we will again review the data to determine if it is safe to move to the Hybrid Learning Model on November 16, 2020.

Please continue to visit our website to view the Tracking Schedule for important updates about community health trends, decision dates and possible reopening dates. Please note that Parents/Guardians will ONLY be contacted directly when a decision has been made to move to the Hybrid (in-person) Model.

Crete-Monee School District 201-U’s first priority is to minimize the health and safety risks to students, parents and staff, as well as potential spread to the surrounding community at large. The level of COVID-19 transmission in the community is an important factor in determining when it is safe to move to Hybrid (in-person) instruction. Specific metrics monitored by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) continue to guide us in assessing the risk of community spread.

We will continue to do our best to keep you informed as new information becomes available. If you would like to view the YouTube video of yesterday’s Special Board Meeting, click here: https://youtu.be/wf10DD3DPsk. Thank you for your continued support of our efforts!

Sincerely,
