Dear CM 201-U Families,
After continued close monitoring of state and local health data, the decision has been made to continue Remote Learning through February 1, 2021. Currently, the Illinois Department of Public Health reports that all four metrics that determine the level of risk are at ‘Substantial.’
On February 1, 2021, the District will once again review health trends and local data, in accordance with our Model Switch Criteria, to determine whether or not it is safe to move to Hybrid Learning.
Please continue to visit our website to view the Tracking Schedule for important updates about community health trends, decision dates and possible reopening dates. Please note that Parents/Guardians will ONLY be contacted directly when a decision has been made to move to the Hybrid (in-person) Model.
Crete-Monee School District 201-U’s first priority is to minimize the health and safety risks to students, parents and staff, as well as potential spread to the surrounding community at large. The level of COVID-19 transmission in the community is an important factor in determining when it is safe to move to Hybrid (in-person) instruction. Specific metrics monitored by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) continue to guide us in assessing the risk of community spread.
Sincerely,

Dr. Kara Coglianese
Superintendent
