Crete-Monee School District 201-U schools have recently been recognized for our efforts to implement an equitable, multi-tiered system of support. This school-wide framework is designed to close achievement gaps and increase the number of students who graduate ready for college or a career. National research shows that full implementation of this type of framework leads to improved student outcomes.
Through this framework, the district has strengthened the consistency of effective instruction for all students, enhanced staff knowledge and skills to support diverse learners, and used data to proactively identify and address student needs. Additionally, it has fostered a culture that promotes stronger relationships with students and their families.
As a result of these efforts, Crete-Monee School District 201-U has been recognized by the Midwest PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) Network. This recognition celebrates the district’s progress toward full implementation. All Crete-Monee schools have been recognized as PBIS schools and have received designated badges reflecting their implementation levels.
