
The Village of University Park hosted its Women’s History Month Luncheon, The Power of HER Voice, on March 7, 2026, at the University Park Golf Club. The event brought together community leaders and changemakers to celebrate the strength, resilience, and leadership of women.
Two district leaders, Dr. Kara Coglianese, Superintendent of Crete-Monee School District 201-U, and Bonita Arceneaux-Anderson, Principal of Coretta Scott King Magnet School in University Park, participated in a dynamic panel discussion focused on empowering women, encouraging them to amplify their voices, and inspiring meaningful change.
The luncheon served as a powerful and inspiring celebration, highlighting the remarkable contributions women have made throughout history while honoring those who continue to lead, uplift, and pave the way for future generations. The stories shared and connections made were a strong reminder that when women support one another, communities grow stronger and possibilities become limitless.

During the discussion, Dr. Kara Coglianese shared a message of leadership and hope, stating, “People don’t always know who to turn to or what direction to take, but they are searching for something. This is the time for new leaders to emerge—leaders who will listen, uplift others, and provide hope for a better tomorrow. The time is now.”
The event also featured dance and singing performances, adding to the celebratory and uplifting atmosphere.
