The Crete-Monee Education Foundation hosted its third annual 5K Fund Run on Saturday, October 3, 2025, bringing together community members, students, and staff in support of education.
Participants gathered at Crete-Monee High School to kick off the event, which began with opening remarks from Crete-Monee School District 201-U Superintendent Dr. Kara Coglianese and Foundation Organizer Rev. James Hunt. District parent Karima Boyd beautifully performed the National Anthem.
The race officially started at 8 a.m., with runners and walkers enjoying the route around the district’s new Crete-Monee High School track. The morning was filled with energy, community spirit, and shared commitment to supporting student success.
All proceeds from the event directly benefit Crete-Monee School District 201-U teachers and students by funding academic programs and other educational initiatives.
