This year’s event, held on Saturday, August 10, was a tremendous success, drawing families, students, and community members together for a day filled with essential resources, fun activities, and heartfelt connections.
Tables were scattered throughout the fieldhouse featuring local vendors providing mental health and wellness resources. Attendees and families explored booths offering information on children’s programs, health and wellness services, employment opportunities, and more.
The CMHS Football Team distributed school supplies and hygiene kits, and a clothing drive was also available. Families eagerly collected the essentials, ensuring students would be well-prepared for the upcoming academic year. The joy and relief on parents’ faces as they gathered supplies for their children was heartwarming.
Families also enjoyed bounce houses, face painting, a photo booth, hot dogs, and interactive activities. The smiles and laughter that echoed throughout the event were a testament to the day’s success in creating a fun and inclusive environment, fostering a sense of community and belonging for all.
Volunteers, many of whom were students, staff, local community members, and organizations, worked tirelessly to plan and distribute these vital resources. Their collective effort and dedication demonstrated the immense power of community involvement, leaving a lasting impact on all who participated.
As the event ended, it was clear that Support Day had achieved its goal of providing crucial resources and strengthening the community's bonds.
