The Crete-Monee School District 201-U recently held its third Strategic Planning Workgroup meeting on Wednesday, April 17th.
During the session, Donovan Group Partner Lori Mueller and Senior Associate Michele Yates-Wickus reviewed opportunities and perceived threats for the district, and led an activity to identify the district’s core values. The workgroup also engaged in discussions to develop new mission and vision statements, as well as prioritizing areas for improvement within the district.
The Strategic Planning Workgroup comprises an inclusive group of parents, teachers and staff, administrators, and community members. The goal of the group is to outline a path to sustainability and growth for the district in the years to come. Members will meet one more time next month to finalize analyzing critical factors such as student performance and growth, educator quality, community engagement, and facilities and operations.
The group’s ultimate goal is to create a strategic plan that will guide decision making, set specific actions for progress, and enable the district to monitor, evaluate, and adjust to reach its goals.
The next workgroup meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 15th. Stay tuned for more updates!
