CM 201-U hosted Northern Illinois Food Bank’s Mobile Market Pantry on Thursday, April 25th from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Early Learning Center. This organization distributes nutritious foods in high-need areas. We are pleased to partner with organizations such as the Northern Illinois Food Bank in order to provide our community the necessary groceries for their families. Ensuring that our community and neighbors have access to perishable and non-perishable goods for families to thrive is a community-wide effort.
Many CM 20-1U staff members volunteered their time to help unpack, set-up, and distribute food to provide for our community. We served a total of 348 individuals consisting of 151 children under the age of 18-years-old and 95 families. “We are sincerely grateful to the dedication of our staff, administration, and Board of Education to continue offering programs like this to our community. We realize the importance and need to lessen the burden on families with the rising cost of food.” said Pamela Pansa, Food Service Director.
