On August 9, 2025, Crete-Monee School District 201-U hosted its annual Support Day, transforming the Crete-Monee High School Fieldhouse into a hub of resources, activities, and connection for families.
Held each year in the weeks leading up to the start of school, Support Day provides families with essentials such as school supplies, clothing, shoes, and more. In recent years, the event has expanded to include a wellness and mental health fair, highlighting the many valuable resources available in our surrounding communities.
Inside the fieldhouse, tables were lined with local vendors offering information on mental health and wellness services, children’s programs, employment opportunities, and more. The CMHS Football Team assisted in distributing school supplies, while other staff and volunteers handed out diapers, clothing, shoes, and hygiene kits, ensuring students and families were ready for the year ahead.
Outside, families enjoyed inflatable activities including a football throw game and soccer, as well as face painting, raffles, and an assortment of treats, including hot dogs and chips. This year, the event served more than 373 families and over 800 students.
The success of Support Day was made possible by dedicated volunteers—including students, staff, community members, and local organizations—whose hard work and generosity demonstrated the true power of community. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our vendors and partners:
