During the Board Meeting on October 15th, Cheryl Roop announced her resignation from the Crete-Monee School District 201-U Board of Education, where she represented District 6 (parts of Crete). Due to her upcoming relocation out of state, she will not complete her term, which runs until April 2025.

The Board of Education plans to appoint a resident of District 6 to fill her position until the April election. If you know someone who might be interested in this role, please contact President Brown for more details.

The District has been fortunate to have Cheryl Roop serve since 2017, working diligently to benefit students and staff. We are grateful for her commitment and service and wish her and her family the best in their future endeavors. Her efforts have left a lasting impact on our community, and we wish her all the best in her retirement.
