Attendance Policies

SINGLE PERIOD TARDIES:

1-3 Cumulative Tardies

Student will be given a pass to class and recorded as tardy in the school system.

4-5 Cumulative Tardies

Student will be given a pass to class, recorded as tardy in the school system, and attendance contract signed by the student.

6 Cumulative Tardies

Student will be given a pass to class, recorded as tardy in the school system, loss of privileges, and a letter mailed home informing parents.

7-9 Cumulative Tardies

Student will be given a pass to class, recorded as tardy in the school system, and parent contact.

10 and Subsequent Tardies

Student will be given a pass to class, recorded as tardy in the school system, plan of assistance developed with the parent, teacher, and student, and discipline ranging from parent meeting through extended loss of privileges and/or In-School suspension.



SINGLE PERIOD ABSENCES:

1-3 Unexcused Absences: WARNING

4-5 Unexcused Absences: ATTENDANCE CONTRACT

6 Unexcused Absences- ATTENDANCE LETTER includes LOSS OF PRIVILEGES

7-9 Unexcused Absences- LOSS OF PRIVILEGES/ PARENT CONTACT

10+ Unexcused Absences-MEETING AT SCHOOL WITH SST/ ACADEMIC LUNCH THROUGH SUSPENSION

**According to the Student/Parent Handbook, students who accumulate more than ten absences for any reason are required to provide proof with documentation from a physician, summons issued by a court of law, or obituary in the case of death of a family member. Absences not excused by the required documentation will be listed as unexcused. Unexcused absences may prevent a student from earning credit for the missed academic assignments. Unexcused absences may also be subject to disciplinary consequences.**
