National Signing Day 2017: Celebrating WARRIOR Athletics!

The Milton Payton Auditorium at Crete-Monee High School was filled with nervous excitement at yesterday’s National Signing Day. Five student athletes, along with their parents, family members and coaches smiled for the cameras as they signed letters of intent to play for the college or university of their choice. CMHS football Coach John Konecki and soccer Coach Kathy Seifert directed the announcements as students took the stage. School board members Mrs. Kimberly Sanders and Mrs. Jeanine Galbraith were also in attendance to offer support to the student-athletes. CM 201-U congratulates all of our student-athletes and wishes them great success in the future!

Alyssa Baron: Two time all-conference soccer player will be attending Joliet Junior College this fall. Alyssa has played with the varsity soccer team for three seasons and was an all-conference selection her freshman and sophomore year as a midfielder for the Warriors. She played with Legacy Soccer Club for her junior season, opting to play her final year with CMHS.

Creo Argue: 2017 Football Defensive End will be attending Independence Community College (KS). Creo was a two-year member of the varsity football team and participated in football all four years at Crete-Monee High School. Creo was named to the Southland Athletic All-Conference team for his play during the 2016 season. In addition to his work with the football program, Creo has also been a part of the basketball and track program at the high school.

Kyle Mayers: 2017 Football Offensive Linemen will be attending Elmhurst College (IL). Kyle was a two-year member of the varsity football team and participated in football all four years at Crete-Monee High School. In addition to his work with the football program, Kyle has also been a part of the wrestling and track program at the high school.

John Mitchell: 2017 Football Defensive Tackle will be attending Independence Community College (KS)-John is a three-year varsity starter on the football team. He was named to the 2016 All-State Team and the Southland Athletic All-Conference team for his play during the 2016 season. In addition to his work with the football program, John has also been a part of the basketball program at the high school.

Dwayne Rose: 2017 Basketball Guard will be attending the University of Toledo.
