Are you a senior that is still undecided? Join the Guidance department at an informational field trip to Prairie State College on May 4th. Sign up in the Guidance office.
Are you a Senior at CMHS and have a CMEA member as a parent? Then you are eligible for a $1000.00 scholarship. Please see Guidance for more info.
Guidance will be taking a college visit field trip to Governor State University on Thursday, April 26. Juniors with a 2.5 GPA or higher will be eligible to attend. The deadline to sign up and turn in permission slips is April 23.
Guidance will be taking a college visit field trip to Illinois State University on Thurs. May 3rd. Juniors with a 2.8 GPA or higher will be eligible to attend. The deadline to sign up and turn in permission slips is April 27.
Juniors and Seniors can sign up for the following college visits in the Guidance office. You must write your 1st hour room number in order to receive a pass: April 24th, Southern Illinois University at 7:30 a.m. April 24th, Universal Technical Institute at 9:00 a.m.

Attention, Seniors: PBIS would like to help with the cost of prom by raffling off 10 prom tickets. Seniors who are not on L.O.P. and meet the prom permission form guidelines may enter to win a free prom ticket. Entry forms can be filled out during all lunch modes today. Another way, PBIS would like to help with the cost of prom is by donating a $100 Visa Gift Card to 10 deserving seniors. Interested seniors must complete an application to be considered for a gift card. Applications can be found in the Guidance office and must be submitted by Fri. April 20th.
Students & Staff: As of April 27th NO CHARGING will be allowed. You must have CASH or money in your account to get a breakfast or lunch or a Courtesy Lunch will be issued.
Seniors: Please start checking with food service, during your lunch mod, to see if you have a lunch balance due. All school fees, including lunch fees, must be paid by Tuesday, May 1st for graduation.
Seniors: Burns Photography will be here at CMHS on Thursday, April 26, to take Cap and Gown portraits, but you must schedule an appointment. If you are interested in taking your picture, please call Burns Photography today. Informational flyers with pricing information are available in the Main Office.
Seniors: Your senior group panoramic picture is scheduled for Wednesday, April 18. The cost is only $17 for a regular photo, $20 for a laminated photo, and $25 for a laminated plus mini photo. You will be dismissed from your 10th-period class over the PA. Order forms will be distributed by your senior English teacher. Seniors enrolled at Prairie State may pick up an order form from the Main office. Be sure to bring your order envelope with cash or a check for the correct amount to the photo session.
Senior Class of 2018 T-shirts have arrived! If you order a T-shirt online before the break, you can pick it up after school from Mrs. Simpson in Rm.B212. Please wear your class T-shirt for the Senior Class panoramic photo. Note: New orders are not being taken at this time, but if you missed your opportunity, please see Mrs. Simpson.
Attention Juniors and Seniors: Prom permission slips are now available in the Main office as well as the Guidance/Deans office, during passing period only! Prom tickets are $100.00 per person and are on sale in the Warrior Store during your lunch mods today through Fri. April 27th. Student Government is sponsoring the Senior trip to Great America this year. The date is May 19th from 8pm to 5:30am. Students will have access to the park all night long for Great America's annual Grad Nite. Tickets are $75 which includes transportation, all you can eat dinner, DJ, dancing, rides and a souvenir gift. Permission slips can be found in the Main office or Deans’ office. Ticket sales are April 16th-April 19th. See Ms. Ross or Mrs. Valerio with questions.
Attention Juniors and Senior: As we move into Prom season, it's important to remember this is a learning environment and Prom is an activity planned on a non-school day; therefore, any student who does a Prom Proposal on school grounds, disrupting the learning atmosphere, will lose their Prom privileges.
