To become a member of National Honor Society, you must be a junior or senior with a 3.5 GPA, show evidence of leadership and be involved in extracurricular activities. NHS assists with school events such as parent-teacher conferences, Open House, and graduation. NHS also sponsors service projects such as an annual blood drive and participate in Relay for Life.
In December 2017 NHS inducted 51 students (juniors and seniors) into the organization. This is the largest group that has been inducted to date.
The annual blood drive will be March 21 in B100. The blood drive is in conjunction with Heartland Blood Center and will take place from 8:00 am - 1:30pm. Students 16 and older may participate.
NHS will also be participating in Relay for Life in May. We are working on setting up teams and looking into ideas for fundraising.
