Balmoral Elementary School utilizes the collaborative energy of its stakeholders to ensure that EVERY child reaches his/her highest academic potential. The expertise of teachers, administrators and specialists are combined to mold students into productive and independent citizens. Balmoral Elementary has a set of core values that drives the organization of the school. Continuous communication is critical in supporting the individual and collective needs of all students. The school prides itself on having a warm and welcoming environment for students and visitors.
Staff, administrators, and parents work together so that students have the resources necessary to succeed. In addition to the state-mandated social skills curriculum, Balmoral has several programs in place to support students socially and emotionally. Every person in the building shares the responsibility of teaching and modeling behavioral expectations. Leadership opportunities are given to students both inside and outside of the classroom. Student Council and student mentors are examples of student leadership within the school. The school’s Bulldog Block Program allows each child to work at their reading level for a portion of each school day. Each grade level is committed to informing parents of their child’s progress toward meeting state standards. Beyond a simple letter grade, the school’s goal is to provide detailed feedback on every student’s social development and academic progress. Balmoral Elementary is a school that is responsive and dedicated to the children and community it serves.
