CMMS science teacher receives MSI Distinguished Teacher Award from the Museum of Science & Industry

BALMORAL PTO MISSION STATEMENT

The Balmoral Elementary School PTO will engage in the following services:  social and academic activities, communications, and fundraising.  Financial support will be provided to support teachers and student programs not covered by School District 201U.  The Balmoral Elementary School will encourage parent, teacher, and community involvement and cooperate with school administration to enhance the educational opportunities of our children.

LAST YEAR'S SUCCESSES!

Each teacher was reimbursed $50 of what they spent out-of-pocket for their classroom.  PTO donated $5 per student to help cover the cost of field trips , fundraisers like Cookie Day,  Smencils,  Yankee Candle and Affy Taffy Apples Fundraisers, Scholastic Book Fairs, purchased new books for every classroom and the library, purchased safety belts for our Safety Patrol,  funded the Teacher Appreciation Luncheon and gift cards for Administrative Professional's Day.  They also purchased a playground swing for the multi-needs students, purchased gift cards for the PPS Giving Tree, donated funds to the Crete Monee Education Foundation Wine & Cheese Event, donated funds to the Crete Monee Post Prom Event, purchased 30 copies of the book How To Handle a Bully for staff members, donated and refilled the PBIS store with bicycles, jewelry, board games, and gift cards.  PTO helped fund the bus fare for one of the 2nd grade classes to go to Monee Elementary for their Pen Pal Picnic, and so much more…
