New Families
Welcome to the District 201-U family! New families to the district must register their child by scheduling an appointment with the District Registrar's Office.
How to Schedule an Appointment
You may schedule an appointment to register your child by calling the District Registrar's Office at (708) 367-8390. Appointments will be held at the District Administration Center (1500 Sangamon Street; Crete, IL 60417) beginning Monday, July 8, and continuing through the start of the school year. Appointments will be scheduled Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
It will take approximately 30 minutes to register (not including income verification if applying for a school fee waiver). Do not delay in scheduling your appointment as time slots may fill up quickly.
Registration Packets
To expedite the process, registration forms may be downloaded and completed prior to your scheduled appointment by clicking on the 'Forms' link on the left-hand side of this page. Beginning July 1, registration packets will also be available at the District Administration Center, village halls, and libraries.
School Fee Waivers
If you believe your child qualifies for a school fee waiver, you will need to complete the income verification process. This must be done prior to registering your child or you will be assessed fees. Please plan on coming at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to complete income verification. For more information, including accepted documentation, please click on the 'School Fees' link on the left-hand side of this page.
National School Lunch Program
If you believe your child qualifies for free or reduced priced meals, you may complete a School Meal Application. Applications will be available begining July 29 at Crete-Monee High School. Completing a Meal Application is separate from the registration process. If your registration appointment is prior to July 29, it will be necessary to return to complete a Meal Application. Please click on the 'National School Lunch Program' link on the left-hand side of this page for additional information.
New Student Testing
If you have a student entering Grade 3 through Grade 11, and you are new to the district or your student was not enrolled in one of our district schools for the 2012-2013 school year, your student will be required to take a placement test. Tests will be administered Monday through Thursday at 9:00 AM at the district office, 1500 S Sangamon St, by appointment only. Please click on the 'New Student Testing' link on the left-hand side of this page for additional information.
