Welcome to the 2008-2009 school year!
"Working Together for Student Success"

A great deal was accomplished last year and now is a wonderful time to celebrate the commitment of our staff, our parents and our communities – all of whom have contributed to our success. A lot of hard work has gone into this year’s planning to ensure that this year will be another school year filled with promise and potential. Our 2008-09 success stories have yet to be written.
I am further delighted to begin this school year with the roll-out of our newly developed Strategic Plan which will become the guiding force in helping our district achieve its goal of becoming a world-class organization. After a sustained dialogue over the past year, our parents, students, staff and community have worked together to develop a comprehensive 5-Year Strategic Plan for the district. This important work will guide our efforts, initiatives and decision-making processes for the next five years.
As we worked to bring into focus the important themes of the Strategic Plan, we placed careful consideration into the creation of a motto that would serve as a symbol of our district’s new mission and vision. Our motto, “Working Together for Student Success” is representative of the deep, yet simple truth, that student success is only possible when parents, schools, students and community members work collaboratively and respectfully toward a unified goal.
I am extremely proud of the great work being done by our schools, parents, students and faculty. The teamwork exhibited by all of our stakeholders will serve as a beacon to guide us for the 2008-2009 school year and into a prosperous future.
