My name is Linda Trobaugh, and I teach Instructional Kindergarten. I have taught Early Childhood and Pre K classes, Instructional Kindergarten, and Co Taught Kindergarten for our school district. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, a Learning Behavior Specialist endorsement, and a Master’s degree in Teaching and Leadership.
I love working with young children! I believe children need a nurturing, safe, and caring classroom as they are transitioning to the elementary school environment for the first time. The first full day school experience should be a very positive one! Lots of literacy activities, including reading, singing, rhyming, and learning about letters, sounds, and words are a big part of each Kindergarten day. We will also learn about making good choices, and about being kind and respectful learners and friends.
I believe that parents are a child’s first and most important teacher and I value your connection and communication this year. I feel that reading to your child is the most important homework!
I am very excited to be your child’s teacher this year!
