On March 5, administrators made the decision to cancel school due to inclement weather. State Law requires that children make up this lost day of instruction. The last day for ELC will be May 31. The last day for all other district schools will be June 4.

Welcome Letter

Greetings. My name is Sarah Valerio. I am in my sixth year of teaching at Crete-Monee High School. I attended Northern Illinois University and the University of Saint Francis where I earned my bachelors degree in Social Science. I am currently working on my Masters Degree in School Improvement and Leadership at Olivet Nazarene University. This school year, I will be teaching Advanced Placement United States History, United States History and Government.

I am also a sponsor for Crete Monee Student Government. The role of student government is to provide students the opportunity to become fully involved in the school and community. Not only do we plan dances and pep rallies, but we also reach out into the community and participate in food drives and other programs.

When I am not planning lessons or grading papers, I have many other interests. My hobbies include shopping, traveling, scrapbooking, camping, fishing and demolition derby. I fully enjoy spending time with my thirteen month old son. Everyday is a learning experience with him.

In conclusion, I love teaching. Teaching history is a passion that I have. I feel fortunate that I am able to share this passion with my students.
