Welcome Letter

I am entering my ninth year teaching at Crete-Monee High School. During this school year I will be teaching Experiences in Social Studies and World History. Studying history has been a passion of mine since middle school, and led me into my chosen career. I graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in History Education in 2000.

In addition to my work in the classroom, I also coach both the Boys Cross Country and Track teams. I was involved in these two sports during high school and remain an active runner today. I will be competing in the Chicago Marathon for the tenth consecutive year on October 11th.

My wife of seven years is also an educator, teaching 2nd grade in Berwyn. We had our first child last October, and are expecting our second child in early 2010. I am very passionate about education and am looking forward to another school year.
