Welcome to a new school year at Coretta Scott King Magnet School! My name is Jennifer Dugan, and I’m the school psychologist here at Monee! I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Bradley University, a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Adler School of Professional Psychology and finally a Master’s degree in School Psychology from Governors State University. I have been employed with the district since 2000 and have worked at most of the elementary school buildings with my longest tenure being at Monee Elementary. This school year I am also working at Monee Elementary School. A little bit about myself, I have been married to my husband, Joe, for 24 years and we have two sons, Jack (22) and Danny (17), a dog named Rex (4) and a grandson, Jaxson (4). In my spare time you can find me cheering on the Chicago Bears, spectating at my son’s hockey games and spending time with my family.
As the building school psychologist, I team with educators, parents, and students to ensure that every child learns in a safe and supportive environment. My role involves consultation with educators and parents regarding difficulties in learning and behavior. I’m also involved in prevention, assessment and intervention activities with students. I enjoy being able to see students grow and experience success across all academic areas.
