My name is Mr. Posey, and I am a Social Studies Teacher at Crete-Monee High School. I have been an educator since 2016, and I received my bachelor’s degree in History and Secondary Education (6-12) and Economics minor from Lewis University. As an educator, I firmly believe that everyone in the classroom is capable of learning. Students, however, can have their own learning preferences and learn differently than one another. Because students are always different, teachers should construct their lessons based on the learning needs of the students and not just the content alone. Naturally, teachers are also capable of learning in the classroom as well. Teachers learn lessons from their students such as new information and perspectives on content, life lessons, current trends, and limitless other possibilities.
