My name is Ms. Godbout, and I am proud to serve Crete Monee High School as the literacy coach. I have been an educator since 1993, serving Crete Monee District 201U since 1994. I received my bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University, and have master’s degrees in Educational Administration and Reading. I am a lifelong resident of the south suburbs, and feel strongly about advocating for our students and our region when it comes to educational equity.

My philosophy of education is simple. I believe that all students, when given the right tools and opportunities, can develop to their full potential. I have high expectations for students, and strive to provide them with the necessary experiences and supports to help them grow and become engaged citizens of our community.  I believe that reading and writing are “every century skills”, and my goal as a literacy educator is to ensure that our students don’t just read for class, but become lifelong lovers of books and the written word.

I look forward to a great school year!
