My name is Tori Manning and I will be your child’s 3rd grade teacher this year! I am so excited to get this year going and I am looking forward to meeting all of you. I have high expectations for my students, and I believe that all of my students can achieve great success in my classroom.
This is my sixth year teaching at Monee Elementary and I am so fortunate to be able to work with such wonderful students, parents, and staff. I graduated in May, 2012 from Lewis University with a degree in Elementary and Special Education.
It is very important to work together in order for your child to be successful in my classroom. Students will have homework every day except on Friday’s and students will be responsible for getting their assignments completed on time. Students will also be sent home with a behavior calendar that should stay in their take home folders. These behavior calendars will show both you and your child where they were at on our behavior chart that day and should be signed each night.
The most important expectation for our classroom is that students follow our class rules and remain responsible, respectful, and safe. As a class we developed our classroom rules and expectations, and all students are aware of the consequences. As a class, we also developed a mission statement that will guide our learning and keep us on track.
Communication is very important to me and I want to be available to you if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. If you need to get ahold of me my email address is firstname.lastname@example.org and my phone number is 708-367-2600.
This is going to be a great year and I am excited to get to know each and every one of you!?
