Dear Parents & Students,
Hello, my name is Jeffrey Brath and I am the Elementary Band Director in Crete-Monee School District 201-U. I teach 5th grade beginning band and 6th grade band.
I love teaching music, especially teaching younger students how to play instruments and getting them to play at a high level. One thing I like about my job is I get to play all the instruments! Prior to coming to Crete-Monee I taught thirteen years in Dolton School District 149 teaching Beginning and Middle School Band, three years teaching band at Clay High School in South Bend, IN, and three years teaching band at Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, NY. I have a Bachelors of Music from SUNY Potsdam College in Potsdam, NY, and a Masters of Music Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
When I’m not teaching, my hobbies include playing my trombone, spending time with my family, hiking, mountain climbing, rock and ice climbing, golfing, working out, reading, and watching sports, especially rooting for my hometown Buffalo Bills. (We will win the Super Bowl some day!)
Please contact me at 367-2749 or at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions regarding the Crete-Monee Elementary School Bands. I look forward to teaching your child, and helping them bring out their best!
