Welcome Letter from Mrs. Castillo

Dear Parents,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Shanna Castillo. I received a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from the University of Iowa and I have a Masters in Education from Concordia.

I have taught in Waukegan and in Chicago Public Schools. I have taught second grade through eighth grade.  I am thrilled to be teaching fourth grade again this year.  I am excited to motivate and inspire our youth to be all they can be. My philosophy of education is that all children can and will succeed.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my large family, decorating my house, exercising, traveling, and watching movies. Teaching and inspiring our children continues to be my life’s mission. I am looking forward to getting to know your child and helping with their educational journey.

Sincerely,

Shanna Castillo
