My name is Mrs. Julie Pagliuco and I am very proud to have serve Crete-Monee high school as a guidance counselor since 2012. It is a pleasure to have the opportunity to continue building rapport with your student(s), as well as all the new incoming students.
Prior to working as a school counselor I worked as an adolescent counselor and coordinator of prevention programs in the school setting. I have my Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Illinois State University and my Master of Arts in School Counseling from Governor State University. I look forward to sharing my passion and knowledge of career and college readiness with your child in order to prepare him/her for life after high school.
As your students Guidance Counselor, I am responsible for:
- Teaching classroom guidance lessons on a variety of topics pertaining to the wellbeing of students
- (Personal/ Social, Academic, and Career)
- Counseling individual and small groups of students
- Guiding students in educational and career plans
- Consulting with parents and teachers
- Planning and organizing programs and special events
My goal, as your Guidance Counselor, is to work with you so we can better serve our students. The school counseling program is student-centered. I believe that all students should be able to learn in an environment that meets their needs in order to achieve their maximum potential. Together we (administrators, faculty/staff, and parents) can provide a respectful and encouraging environment that helps our students meet present and future challenges in an ever changing global society.
I look forward to working with the students, parents, and faculty at Crete-Monee High School to help every student develop strong character, life skills, and positive relationships for successful living in a diverse world.
