Crete-Monee High School Homepage

Welcome to the new school year at Crete-Monee High School. I am Ms. Tiffany Alexander. I will be your son/daughter’s guidance counselor servicing students with the last names ending in Si-Z. I want to personally express my excitement about the upcoming year!

I will meet with your child individually, as well as in larger groups throughout the year to work on the following:

Study skills

Decision making skills

Getting the most out of high school

College/career exploration

To monitor credits.

The start of school is an exciting time and it offers many opportunities but it can also present new challenges. Parents as you know you play an important role during this time. Continue to be supportive and involved in your child’s education. As a team (You and I) should encourage your child to be proactive and seek assistance if struggling with classwork. Do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher via email or telephone to express any concerns you may have.

As for your student, we will collaborate to create a plan for success in their high school career. I have a few tips that should help your student to meet their personal goals!

Start strong and stay strong- Let’s make this a great year! Start with determination to perform at a high level. Make a pledge to work harder, stay positive and be consistent.

  • Have good attendance

  • Be an active learner

  • Seek help whenever needed

  • Follow school rules

GPA- A student’s GPA is a strong indicator of college success and a factor that colleges consider in applications. We want our students to do their BEST in all of their classes.

Again I look forward to working with your son/daughter. Please contact me if I can be of assistance in any way. I am available via email or telephone. I try my best to return messages in a timely fashion. This school year is very important and I will do my best to help your child have a great year.
