Welcome Letter from Ms. Dau
Welcome to Ms. Dau's class! I am very happy to have your child in my classroom this year. This is my fifth year teaching at the ELC. I graduated from Governors State University in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a Special Education Approval. I am currently pursuing a master's degree from Saint Xavier University.
I have two classroom assistants; Mrs. O'Young & Mrs. Schwartz. Having two assistants is very beneficial for the children and helps give them the most meaningful education during their time here.
I believe that all children have the potential to learn and do so by having positive role models. The discipline policy in my classroom works to build on positive behavior and allow children to monitor their actions. I believe that with enthusiasm from a teacher comes eagerness to learn. I know that each and every child is unique and I am dedicated to helping your child learn in the way that is most effective for him or her.
Lastly, it is imperative to me that your child has fun and is able to express his or herself at school. We will engage in many songs, games, and activities that not only help your child build confidence in front of a group, but also incorporate fun and laughter into the day. I look forward to completing this learning adventure with your child!
