Summer School Information

Program Dates: Session I Mon., June 10 – Thurs., June 27, 2013, Session II Mon., July 8 – Thurs., July 25, 2013
Each session is equivalent to a semester and meets the hourly requirement to earn course credit.

July 22-28 CMHS Registrar's Office Closed

During the week of July 22 the Crete-Monee High School Registrar's office will be closed. Transcripts will not be able to be ordered during this time. The registrar's office will open again on Monday, July 29.

Main Street Nights

Looking for some entertainment on a Wednesday night? Grab a blanket, pack a snack and position yourself in the Park Forest Downtown Village Green (Cunningham and Main Streets) for eight free nights of entertainment, rain or shine!

Crete Cruise Nights

Looking for something to do on Monday evenings? Head on over to Main Street in Crete from 5:00-9:00 PM for Cruise Night. You will find cars and trucks from pre-1980. Also enjoy dinner or a sweet treat at a local establishment. What a fun family night!

The University Park Public Library has Story Time on Tuesdays at 10:45 AM. Enjoy a great read aloud and take time to check out some books for summer reading.

Dive into Reading

Did you know that students can lose as much as three months of reading skill without practice during the summer? We ask that you take our summer reading challenge and have everyone in your family read at least 20 minutes a day.

Warriors Co-ed Basketball Camp

Coach Cee-Cee will be hosting a Warriors Co-ed Basketball Camp at CMHS on June 21st through the 23rd for 3rd-10th grade boys and girls. Students will take part in performance training, lateral footwork, speed/agility, shooting and more.

Board of Education hosts Community Forum

On June 10, the Board of Education hosted its second installment of community forums concerning use of the Capital Development Board grant funds. Results of the Life Safety Survey and Facility Audit were presented.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. brings Acts of Kindness to 201-U

In honor of the centennial celebration of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. organization, members celebrated an “Act of Kindness Day” on June 1, 2013 by participating in community service projects supporting the students of District 201-U.

Around the District

The Early Learning Center and Monee Elementary School were recognized by the Board of Education and Administration for the positive things happening in the schools during the May Around the District portion of the Board meeting.

Summer Enrichment Opportunities

The school year is nearly over and it's time to start thinking about what your children will be doing this summer! There are many fun and engaging summer enrichment opportunities for students available throughout the local community.

2013-2014 School Calendar

The first day of school will be August 20, 2013 and the last day of school is scheduled for May 30, 2014 barring the use of any snow days. Please take the time to review this calendar and the important days scheduled throughout the school year.

The ELC would like to say goodbye to Mr. Kovacevich! He has worked at the ELC for 10 years, and we appreciate everything he has done for our program. He truly will be missed by the students, staff, and families within the Crete Monee school district.
